Some people believe that major authorities should have access to people’s devices for security reasons. However, other argue that these detail’s are private and should not be provided without consent. I believe that information should only be taken when necessary but with authorization only.
On one hand, government dodoes need these information to deal wit h lawbreakers, these facts and statistics can support their work. Moreover, online scams via sms or emails are very common and action must be taken against it, so the data can help the authorities investigate about it. Many of the times illegal online trans actions are being done of which there ar e no records available, as a result, information can also be used to filter out these deals. Furthermore, huge amount of taxes are not paid by the owner’s of devices so they can be targeted.
On the other hand, most of the people are not comfortabble sharing their data as it contains some private messages and pictures which they do not want anyone to see. In addition, any data can get leaked no matter how secure it is so people are afraid to share any of their personal data. Additionally, some people do share their data but only when it is requested, hence, it can be concluded that a major percentage of individuals are not willing to give their details without authorization.
In conclusion, I believe that government should take access to private data only when required with the owner’s permission.
