To reduce traffic congestion and pollution, there are two points of view. One part of individuals believe that the best way to solve the problem is that in public transportation has to be invested more money by the government. However, others consider constructing more roads and highways would be the best solution. These essay will investigate both sides of views and provide my personal view.
To begin with, public transportation has to be increased to solve the problem of traffic jams and pollution. This statement is partly true because if the majority will use public transport, there will be fewer cars on the road. The problem can be partly solved, especially the pollution problem, but not at all. Because if the number of cars is dropped, there will be rised amount of public transport. Further more, the fewer vehicles there will be, still there will be jams, but not as huge as it was.
Moving to the next statement, the issue can be solved by maximizing the number of roads and highways. New roads can totally solve the traffic congestion. However, the pollution problem will rise because of boosting the number of vehicles.
In conclusion, investing more money in public transportation can solve the pollution issue and partly the traffic jams. By constructing new roads and highways, it will definitely solve the traffic congestion trouble but increase the pollution problem because of building up the number of cars. In my opinion, the best way to solve these problems is to use both suggestions, even by using a little bit from each statement, like increasing the public transport and building up the roads to solve both problems.
