It is often argued that government should focus on developing scientific research and knowledge more than developing other subjects. Personally, I believe that government should not only focus on science education and ignore other academic fields.
Admittedly, science education has an important role for the growth of economy and technology. Focusing on science research can create clean energy, medicine or new resources. These innovations improve individuals’ quality of life and strengthen the economy. For example, in Finland education, government in this country teach them about scientific skill for children in primary school with some basic theories. Finland government contributed young generation to become scientist in the future, that can help and serve in national progress. As a results, scientific skill and knowledge are crucial in each country, it help country decrease the illiterate, so nation can develop day by day.
However, focusing heavily on science can create significant drawbacks. Other subjects such as humanities, art, law or social science, are one of important factors in national growth. Like an art, it can help people relaxing after hard-working, or increasing creativity in young generation. For instance, art is essential for help violent crime feel peaceful. In some place, prisoner were made to drawing in 1 hours per a day to feel more positive and calming the anxious in their soul. Moreover, law or humanities made society decrease violence in family or criminal act. As a result, social science not only contributed people to the kindness but also made country in law and happiness community.
In conclusion, although science education is vital for economic and technological growth, it should not be invested more than other fields. A balanced education is the best approach to improve inner and outer of national development.
