Some people argue that having less number of chilren can save the refined resources around the world. On the other hand, others insist that population control is not needed bacause technology can solve the problems. In my view, latter opinion seems to be right in current situation.
One of reasons I believe it is that population of human being has been growing since we started to live on the earth and still we have found the way to survive. For example, we can harvest more food then before because we have gotten skills of efficient agriculture. Also, we have more land to live because our technology allow us to fillin the water to make new land. In addition, we have more energy because we have innovated the way to extract a lot of energy efficiently.
The other reason I believe it is that birth rates in developed countries has getting low. Threfore, it is forsee that the more technology and countries develop, the lower their birth rates get. On the other words, population will decrease without population control. Additionally, when technology and country advance, societies started to care human rights and try to distribute resources equally. For these reasons, when technology is getting high level, a society which have fewer people with enough resources can be come true.
In conclusion, I think that we do not need population control to preserve natural resources because high-level technology will help us to get enough of them and, concequently, societies is going to be happy place with moderate number of people who are ensured good quality of lives.
