There is an ongoing debate about whether the people are responsible for recycling and saving energy or the governments and large companies should solve them. I believe each individual is the one who is responsible for environmental issues, because we are all a small part of this planet. Waiting big steps in terms of environmental issues from governments is not the action that will prevent us from severe problems.
On one hand, every individual’s daily actions can reduce the amount of emissions and trash in cities every day. Eliminating disposables, going to bulk stores instead of regular markets are the tiniest steps in terms of environmental problems. I believe that accepting is condoning, buying is voting. So everyone’s decisions matter in this case.
Additionally, the governments are the ones who have to provide good conditions for citizens in recycling. Basically, increasing the number of recycling bins will be helpful for eco-activists. Even, the amount of trash in the cities can be reduced only by selling products without packaging which can be available in special markets. However, the problem of emissions from the huge fabrics and factories is unsolvable with the hands of simple citizens.
To sum up, the case of enviromental problems is the main issue of both people and the governments. So, I believe only a combination of two of them will solve the issue better. That is how we can prevent the long-lasting impacts in terms of nature.
