There is an ongoing debate among people about which one between the characteristics we are born with and life experiences have has the biggest impact on our behaviors and personality. I consider life experiences to have the major influence.
Children in general born with some different features that may specialize them and specialize their personality, but the question is which one has the biggest influence: our characteristics that we were born with or what we went through in our lives? And the answer, of course, is what we lived, such as what hurt us, what helped us, where we fell. In addition, if our behaviors and characters remained the same since we were children, it means that we have never went outside our houses, we have never communicate with other people, and we have never experienced new things that may help in the shaping of our personality.
Many people believe that adults have the same features they were born with, and they are completely wrong because, in this case, it means we still young. And today, there are many things that they can have a role in the shaping of our personality, such as parents, who play a significant role, because children in an early age are like a white board, and parents write what they want on it, so children will act how they parents wanted in an early age. And when they go outside, they will act like their neighbours. When they grow up, they will act like their colleagues at work. So, this summarise the fact that we don’t have a stable personality, and what we lived is the main responsible of our acts.
In summary, there are many research reveals that the characteristics we are born with can influence our personality more than life experiences. From my perspective, what we lived has the biggest influence.
