Currently, research indicates that the characteristics we are born with have an impact on our personality and development than any experiences we may have in our life. I disagree with this statement and I firmly believe that these characteristics we have since infancy are less important than the experiences we may have and we will discuss both sides.
On the one hand, some argue that characteristics are crucial in our life. This is because they determine our personality and developmen, which shows us who we are. For example, were people to know who they are, they might not know themselves and their goals. As a result, it might have a negative effect on their behaviour and mental health. In addition, it is often argued that some people can build relationships with others who have positive personality and development. Because, they might want to know people who are around them. That is why these people believe that personality and development are really essential in your life.
On the other hand, I strongly believe that experiences we may have in our life are more important than personality and development. Because, were people to have necessary experiences, they might achieve their goals and they might know what they want to have in this life. Moreover, people, especially parents, have many experiences and they might help their children’s life and might support them in every situations no matter what. That is why from my perspective, experiences are more essential.
To sum up, nowadays, some claim that – including me, the benefits of personality and development are outweighed by the benefits of experiences.
