Nowadays International travel for education is trending up. Many school and university in Thailand have new program for studying abroad such as United Kingdom, United state of America, Australia, New Zealand and others. The main goal of parent is to let the kids practice their English in real life in the place they need an urge to talk for living because in Thailand they don’t have to speak English for buying food, talking to one another. Some of them want their children to have experience and building up their confidence and strength in daily living.
In my point of view, I believe that this international travel program or even studying abroad is a fantastic and practical way to growing up. Since I was in sixth grade, my parents sent me abroad for summer course in UK for 2 months to improve my English. First, Living alone for the first time with host was not an easy task for young children. Secondly, I need to communicating in English to do daily activities since I woke up, going to school, buying food. All children know how to speak English but using it in real life, a confidence to communicate is much more important than that. Thirdly, Tons of experience could happen while traveling for example no matter what obstacles came across all you need to do is get through it by yourself because your parents cannot help you like they would.
Not only going to foreign countries for learning, but just traveling for tourism in a short period of time also gain a lot of experience. Every countries has their own tradition and religion which is influence all the lifestyle, action in the daily life. For example, when you go to the temple versus the church you will see different culture how they pray or even see how all the belief they had happened. Variety of everything you learned will make you understand diversity in the world. Furthermore, what failure or mistake you will encounter during a trip no matter when you got into the wrong train or bus, missed the flight will make the kids grow and learn their lesson.
Last but not least I’m positive that all the memories and experiences they got from the trip are an unforgettable one. Even it will cost more money than domestically, this is an opportunity to see how big the world is. They cannot have this feeling when they growing up, it’s not like when you are an adult. The way you handle things will give you lesson in the future in many other ways.
