Some individuals argue that enduring hardships, say, unfulfilling jobs and monetary issues, are the best decision. However, some argue that people should attempt to improve their living conditions. This essay will consider both points of view and give a personal viewpoint at the end. I personally believe that individuals should not tolerate unfavorable circumstances but rather strive for development.
The tolerance of hardships may contribute to one’s resistance and resilience, thus leading to mental growth and future success. Nowadays, many people are desperately trying to change something about their lives by attending various courses and motivational speeches. Indeed, hard circumstances create strong people, thereby promising a bright future. For instance, many politicians in my country, Kazakhstan, did not have expertise for a long time, but after 5–7 years of hard work, they became recognizable politicians with stable and highly paid jobs. In comparison with attempts to escape hardships, where the likelihood of failing is high, people in tough conditions prefer to stay resilient for a promising future.
On the other hand, rather than settling and wasting valuable time in unfulfilling work, striving to reach one’s full potential is the gateway to a brighter future, in a relatively short period of time. If an individual is not content with what he or she has obtained, it is better to seek an opportunity to grow. Undoubtedly, failures on the pathway to a better life are unavoidable, but they may serve as lessons and give more ingenuity for the next time. Therefore, with determination, individuals can shape their miserable conditions of life.
Despite the fact that reflecting on bad conditions can significantly influence mindset growth, I certainly believe that attempts to find a superior life or career may proliferate the chances of finding your passion and make you even more resilient to face difficulties.
In conclusion, being resigned to obnoxious circumstances of life may prevent unnecessary risks and make you more resilient. However, by taking action on unfavorable situations, you will discover your dedication and develop perseverance. Both perspectives have merit depending on the context, but as shown above, I strongly agree with the latter statement.
