There is a widespread assumption that life in big cities is becoming more challenging, meanwhile some people believe it is getting easier. From my point of view, recent changes and trends are making life in big cities easier.
Nonetheless, big cities have been having several negative changes, too. Traffic jams have become a very noticeable issue, and has already become a routine of the majority of the city. Big cities are becoming a home for more and more cars that not only affects workers and students’ performance but also cause air pollution and create a lot of noise. Moreover, numerous constructions are being planned, which require countless trees to be cut down. Trees play a significant role in an infrastructure and without them, a city will lack fresh air and shade.
From other perspective, big cities also experience some crucial and beneficial changes, too. For the last decade, Tashkent has been facing difficulties with traffic and overcrowding. In response, Metro lines were expanded and brand-new buses were brought. Also, new rules, that ensure that construction companies must compensate trees that were cut down by planting new ones, are being adopted.
In addition, countless innovations are made in big cities, that are meant to make our lives easier. Recently, online shopping and delivery have become popular and widespread. Now people do not have to travel to shops, creating more traffic. Furthermore, worth noticing how many new job opportunities are created in big cities. Popular brands like KFC, create wider range of jobs and attract more specialists from all around the region.
In conclusion, it is true that there are many problems in cities, that may challenge public health and performance. Nonetheless, solutions to them are being found and used, so the well-being of citizens increase.
