Some men and women find that money is one of the most vital factors in a person’s happiness. While I agree that wealth improves our lifestyle, I do not agree that it might lead to bad habits related to health.
On the one hand, funds are undeniably important for various aspects of life, including basic needs, education, and healthcare. In addition, having enough money is a key aspect to balance the quality of life. However, its significance in determining happiness is subjective and varies from person to person. For example, financial resources can serve as a buffer against life’s negative events. Also, having more money means avoiding the stresses and worries that being poor brings.
On the other hand, the pursuit of wealth can sometimes lead to detrimental habits that negatively impact health. People striving for financial success may experience burnout and mental health issues. The pressure to maintain a certain lifestyle or achieve financial goals can also result in unhealthy behaviors. For example, excessive consumption of alcohol, poor dietary choices, and lack of physical activity can contribute to various health problems, including obesity, cardiovascular diseases, or addiction to alcohol.
In conclusion, while money can certainly enhance our quality of life and provide comfort and security, it should not be viewed as the sole determinant of happiness.
