In today’s world many people vote for launching campaigns to decrease the crime rate, while others tend to think that it is unnecessary to put so much efforts into this field. Personally, I believe that preventing measures are important as they foster stability of any country.
Admittedly, individuals perceive that there are more essential economic sectors which seek support. For instance, numerous juvenile delinquents may become a serious issue if police and military fundings dominate in a countries’ investments. Not only can encouraging students with additional perks prevent them from turning to a career of crime, but also it can greatly improve economy by improvements in both life fields – education and law. Furthermore, in developing counties, for example, in Norway, there is no need to pour money into investigations or to develop the law system because they have one of the lowest global crime rates.
From a different perspective, what I perceive vital is to introduce certain measures to prevent the developing of criminal behavior. Although petty crimes like shoplifting or pick-pocketing can be diminished by little efforts, violent actions such as rape, murder and drug dealing require strong substantial decisions. Having committed a harsh act of crime, the person almost always can not be overpersuaded, they should be equitably charged with their action, so it is important to maintain a solid law system. Moreover, in some cases sentencing culprits requires much more money than conducting policies to discourage committing crime. The beforementioned fact confirms the idea that it is rational for governments to impose restrictions and thoroughly criminal activities in their country.
To sum up, there are positive and negative aspects of enforcing laws to prevent criminal. On the one hand, it can be superfluous in developed countries with robust safety, while in other countries the root cause of the problem is lack of investments in other fields. On the other hand, detrimental actions should be punished fairly, so I assume that each state needs to run campaigns to discourage individuals from committing acts of crime, as an equal punishment for harm will follow.
