In today’s world, it became undeniable that technological revolution has a significant impact on the learning process. Some argue that virtual learning has no limitation and is more flexible than conventional education. I strongly believe that digital learning has positive impact on the community during challenging conditions such as pandemics. Information has become accessible wherever you are in the world.
To begin, nowadays it is argued that learners have not to travel overseas or to attend to traditional classrooms to acquire knowledge. Because of dramatic changes, the demands for flexible learning have increased. For example, during covid -19 pandemic in the year 2019, thousands of students and teachers were not able to go schools. However, implementing of virtual learning and digital platforms gave the opportunities for those children to learn regardless of their location and their health concerns. Conversely, some developing countries who lack funds were not able to conduct digital learning.
Additionally, many postgraduates seek to complete their research. However, they have various circumstances such as lack of funds and time. Online education has created several opportunities for those students to achieve success and develop their career. For example, many of international universities provide scholarships for professions to a acquire a new degree in their specialization such as people university. Thus, many of my colleagues could get master degrees and PhDs in their homes. Conversely, this pattern of education requires students with high dedications and commitment.
To conclude, Digital platforms have various merits including accessibility and flexibility. However, it requires special technological infrastructures and highly commitments of students to achieve success.
