While there are some people who believe that there is a direct relation between success in business and personal happiness, others believe there are different influencing factors. I support the latter statement, as I believe being rich and happy in your life is not always the case.
One of the reasons why people might think that having economic success would bring happiness into your life is a mindset with the reasoning of not worrying about making any expenses and living your dream life. That is to say, people who have everything except of sufficient financial resources believe that having them would create a perfect life. For instance, a family with healthy relationships, having a house but not being able to afford to buy essentials such as new clothes or food due to the low salaries of both parents, would benefit from the business success As a result, there are specific cases where adding more financial support would create personal satisfaction and happiness.
However, I believe that happiness is directly related to personality and depends on personal values and attitudes, while having economic success requires a high level of responsibility. Therefore, some might appreciate small things such as time spent together or buying a small bouquet, for which you don’t need to be wealthy and hence it doesn’t require setting up a business, whereas achievements in finances may result in mental disorders such as anxiety. These examples show that a term ‘happiness’ is understood differently by different individuals but it is crucial to find big in small things which creates a correct mindset.
In conclusion, while opinions may vary regarding factors which produce personal happiness, I agree with the idea of not having a necessity in being a successor in your business and hence earn enough money, but rather develop your understanding that being happy does not imply being economically successful.
