It is believed that education plays a role in assisting citizens to become a person who is extremely dedicated to their efforts for social change, nevertheless, others, suggest that the aim of education is to help humans fulfill their dreams and ambitions. Although both views hold merits, I agree more with the former perspective.
In this technological era, with vigorous economic development, leading to people’s standard of living increasingly becoming higher, and everyone has the freedom to dream, this means that people globally tend to be truly diligent and strive to get a well-paying job and have the ability to easily access to career promotion, making them have a notion about the importance of education that it is necessary like a step which so-called foundation in order to help them obtain their achievements. For instance, in a normal family which do not have anyone good in the education path. One of that family’s member, will have a person, who want to have a degree to occupy a prominent place in there, and can independent in financially.
On the other hand, essentially, the goals of government are to take a high proportion in creating many good citizens who meet the needs, such as qualification, virtual, making a wise decision, and it is increasingly evident that they can become masters of a country, and this has to begin from studying. Compulsory education is an indispensable and the sole factor in establishing the foreseeable future. Moreover, devoting all their time to improving their academic performance is the best way to reach their destination, which can be a work, a volunteer activity, or a job that they can immerse themselves in to truly dedicate all their effort with the thinking to help numerous citizens in this contemporary society. For example, they have a dream that becoming a doctor, who has expertise in diagnosing and treating dangerous diseases. Just so simple hearing, but to form this thinking is extremely uncommon, especially, belonging to a normal individual. Furthermore, why do not choose a dream that not only requires ambition, but can also bring a lot of benefits to society.
In conclusion, both views should be considered, the aim of education needs to be realized by each citizen, who can make their own decisions. However, from my point of view, I partly support to the former perspective.
