The discussion about whether inhabitants should keep their streets clean and tidy or not raises thorny questions. Although it can be argued that the state should tidy up each street and it is its responsibility, I strongly believe that residents should clean up the streets where they live.
There are several reasons why the governments should look after streets. First and foremost, it could be argued that the government has enough budget, equipment, and professional staff to clean streets, and it would appear that these resources help keep streets clean on a regular basis, the environment remains cleaner, waste is collected on time and people can live in healthy conditions. Another important reason it could be thought that the state should be responsible for tidying up streets, as cleaning streets requires planning and coordination, so that cleaning work is carried out on time, no area is overlooked and streets look tidy at all times.
Despite the above arguments, I tend to believe that residents should clean up their own streets. Initially granted, it could be asserted that inhabitants should tidy up their own streets, since they live there and they know better when streets should be cleaned which is bound to lead cleaner and fresher streets, reduce the amount of garbage, and the environment looks tidier. Another key sticking point is that when people clean up their own streets, they develop a sense of responsibility; as a result, they do not want to throw away garbage on the ground, they pay more attention to protecting the environment and the streets might remain cleaner in the long term.
Considering all the above mentioned facts, we could sum up that despite that several individuals believe that the government should tidy up the streets and it is its responsibility, I am inclined to believe that inhabitants should keep the streets clean where they live.
