Education is the most powerful to change the society. It’s ultimate goal is to improve lives and drive positive change in the human existence. While other’s argue about the schools fundamental function in enhancing and cultivating people’s knowledge and intellectual ability, they often overlooked the significance of learning proper values and right attitude as avital role in shaping’s humans personality . However, I do not hold the same view.
Teaching is undeniably challenging and complex task, a systematically arrange plan to teach students about the skills and theories are essentially required to succeed both in school and in life. Schools offers a wide range of opportunities to discover the capabilities and improve students hidden skills and talents. Teaching and learning process further refine to deliver a smooth and effective academic friendly environment. For example demonstrating practical knowledge in giving first aid techniques among grade 9 students, adopt an active healthy lifestyle or even performing the basics of piano are the acquired skills that could lead to a lifelong learning and utilization in real life situations in the future. Undoubtedly, schools certainly pave the way for individuals to become a better version of themselves.
In addition to the academic learning, schools play a vital role in moral education. Developing observation skills and reflective attitude towards classroom environment essentially required to foster a desirable classroom environment. Subject comprising ethics is part of the curriculum fostering equality, respect and fairness among individual. Unnoticeably, values and attitudes were also incorporated in the routinize activity letting children follow certain rules, directions in exams, performances, or criteria that regulate actions and makes them understand the idea of limitations. This is the process of instilling an innate unconscious learnings applied in school and most especially at home. Furthermore, respecting and understanding each other’s differences was unconsciously expressed through recognition of each other’s accomplishments. Above all, inculcate and educate the students that even if everyone is coming from diverse races, cultures, values, and beliefs, we all should be equally treated in accordance to their racial origin.
In conclusion, schools teach the individual holistically nurturing not only the intellectual aspect but also morally. In my own point of view, it schools do not focus solely in academic intelligence but influences all the aspects of human beings. Ultimately, education plays a major role in developing and shaping one’s personality and preparing an individual for life. Notably, it is the most effective platform for molding us intellectually or morally.
