It is suggested by a group of individuals that students should be required to do free social work after classes. While i agree that it would be beneficial for students to gain work experience and to develop social skills, i also hold a view that for some students it would be physically too energy consuming and inappropriate time consuming activity as some of them might have extra studies.
On one hand, I accept that school labour should be required from students for its numerous advantages. First and foremost, it would be a good initial work experience for them to start building their future careers. They would learn skills that could be used in their future fields, commonly as time management and responsibility and so on. The time that would be asked for finishing the job would teach them how to manage their time wisely. Learning it, additionally would bring some them sense of responsibility, because without it time management cannot be done properly. In addition, social skills that nowadays, unfortunately, most students lack would be developed, as a perk of working in groups. By doing so, skills as teamwork, an art of friend making and even for some students leadership skills would be made. For instance, working in a team for long time would teach students by whom what and how should be done. Each of the groups would have leader who would encourage the team to work passionately and more enthusiasticly. Eventually their skills of friend making and people influencing would made as they would learn how to communicate with people.
On the other hand, it is also true that school labour should be required from students,as it would have benefits for some students, but it is not true for all students. Above all, some students would not be able to manage their time properly due to their extra learnings that they have. For example, students from lyceum classes and some subject clubs would not catch up with their studies because of this after-school work. Furthermore, there are some students who would simply get tired, as it would be too energy consuming activity for them, especially students of pre-puberty period. Every student is different from each other, so not every student could held this additionial work after school.
In conclusion, although i acknowledged that free school labour has a number of benefits for students, I also hold a view that not every student should be included in this activity because of their heavy workload and physical nature.
