Some believe that students should be required to participate in physical education classes, commonly known as “PE.” They argue that these classes are unnecessary and not needed. This essay aims to address this viewpoint.
On one hand, many parents complain about their children returning from PE classes sweaty, hot, barely able to breathe, and crying. They cite various reasons for this discomfort. For instance, the mother of two children, Salwa and Noora, inquired about the reasons for her daughters quitting the elite modern school. She was informed that her daughter faced insults and abuse while playing on the school football team because her friends on the team became jealous and dangerous due to her playing. Consequently, the mother decided to withdraw her daughter from the golden school where PE is elective.
On the other hand, we cannot deny the importance of physical classes that enhance students’ physical skills. These social activities also provide children with the opportunity to discover themselves and their hidden talents. Moreover, we should not forget that all of this occurs in watched environments where teachers and the school ensure everything is stable and without issues, as long as any kind of physical exercises do not harm them.
In conclusion, parents bear the responsibility for their children’s choices regarding PE classes. They should be aware of their children’s well-being, both physically and mentally.
