Numerous people argue that students should wear school uniforms, while others believe that it should be their own choice. Evidently, everything has its pros and cons, and initially, it should be discussed from both perspectives.
The school uniform plays a major role in almost every school, which some students may not like, but everything has a reason behind it. First of all, a uniform increases the level of discipline, which is vital in studying; moreover, it prevents distraction during lessons, ensuring everyone is dressed similarly, including hairstyles. Another reason is equality, if everyone wears the same sort of uniform, there would be less risk of bullying and shaming amongst the students.
When it comes to not wearing a uniform, it’s plausible that it doesn’t affect one’s wisdom and understanding skills. Allegedly, everyone has their own character and image, which is mostly evident from their clothing style, and many people express their aura with it. It means freedom as well as confidence, so it can be uncomfortable for many people who are usually used to uniform styles, and most of the time, it may cause a lack of confidence and social stigma.
My conclusion about this topic is that wearing a uniform is more beneficial than not wearing it. Despite the fact that I feel more confident and comfortable without a uniform, evidently the advantages of wearing it outweigh the disadvantages, because discipline and equality are some of the essential things we should focus on. Moreover, we should know that not everyone’s financial circumstances are the same, and because of that, not wearing a uniform may lead to comparison and shaming of others, which increases the risk of anxiety and depression.
