Some humans feel that children should wear special clothes at school to promote equality. Other people think that uniforms limit people expression. I agree with the former view, owing to having uniforms promote equality and being rich and poor both wear the same clothing. On the one hand, there are clear arguments that uniforms limit individual expression. One of the main reasons can be that rich
and poor people will still be easily differentiated having these uniforms. This means that they cannot completely create or repair socio-economic differences between individuals. Another reason can be that lack of individual expression can lead to a rebellion. As a result, it allows people to showcase their thoughts, values, personalities, and creativity.
On the other hand, I agree with Steve’s point that students should wear uniforms at school. Firstly, I believe that they are more cost-effective for parents. They are generally more economical over time by reducing the number of clothes needed, eliminating the influence of fashion trends, and offering durability and resilibility. Secondly, I also feel that they support discipline. For example, I understand that discipline is essential for growth, productivity, and success.
In conclusion, although wearing uniforms can restrict a person’s ability to express their individuality, can bring benefits, having uniforms do not help students increase their grades and having uniforms do not allow for individuality yet, I believe that students ought to wear uniforms while attending school can offer advantages such as having uniforms make everyone feel more equal as well as having special clothes ensure that students of all economic backgrounds dress alike.
