The majority of people argue about studying abroad: some of them believe that it offers more advantages, than disadvantages, while another ones say the contrary point. Despite the fact that being an exchange student provides multiple opportunities like expanding your knowledges about other countries, I think that there are more drawbacks such as linguistic barriers.
The key benefit of studying as a foreign student is that having a chance to see the cultural diversity, tourist attractions and amazing sights of the region. As a tourist students can learn a history and culture by visiting museums and so on. For instance, the Great Chinese Wall is one of the most popular locations around the world. Lots of people did not know why it was built until they listened the story from native persons who live in China. According to them, many years ago Chinese constructed a giant wall to protect themselves from their enemies. It is an ancient legend about their ancestors. Consequently, studying in foreign countries gives us a chance to get an essential experience about civilisation of nations.
An obvious drawback to underline here would be a language barrier. Beside the main term, native speakers use idiomatic words, phraseologies. For example,Indian speakers will have an accent when they are speaking English or other languages. The reason for that is their inability to remove Indian pronunciation. In Qazaqstan I have seen the great number of them and I confidently can say that I can not understand their speech. Therefore this issue makes their live harder.
To sum up I consider that experience is more negative, because of the linguistic complexities.
