Undoubtedly, a majority of people want to be successful in life, so while some people believe that gaining success depends on only hard work, others claim that it can be reached only by luck. Personally, I firmly believe that success is a mix of luck and intensive work.
To begin with, first perspective suggests that the key to reach success means working hard by ignoring your luck which refers to your financial position, abilities to do a certain task better compared with others naturally and a lot of other kinds of advantages. In details, they mean that a person is able to reach anything by giving enough effort to that direction even though he does not have any visible superiorities. For instance, the person who was not good at running during his childhood can still become a champion which is possible by his intensive effort.
By contrast, another perspective asserts that even though people start to immerse in doing a certain type of task in order to reach excellence at that, cannot accomplish if they do not have innate abilities. For example, if individual did not have a remarkable positive differences in an exact subject or sport, he unlikely be a role model in that direction, even if that individual was intensive and consistent worker.
In my opinion both of them are essential to succeed in any area of life, since I believe that one cannot be without another. For example, if person stay consistent in working to succeed at running, however his biological condition rejects or curbs him to be engaged in it by illnesses or other reasons, he likely will not be able to get success in this way. Therefore, success requires needs of both of them.
In conclusion, while people argue that to reach success they need work or luck, I stick to my position in the middle of them claiming that to succeed we need to have both, otherwise it will not be possible to reach success.
