Band 6+: Some people believe that success means earning a lot of money. Others believe that success is defined by personal happiness. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

The meaning of the success differs person to person. There are two main perspectives of being successful for people. Some of them believe that it is related to having a lot of money. On the other hand, some believe that being successful is depending on their happiness.

Being successful based on earning a lot of money for the first group. They can buy anything that they want when having adequate amount of money. For example, they may spend their money for getting rid of the depressive thought by going on a trip. Also, they can find cure for their illness whenever they need because being sick is one of the reasons of getting upset. For instance, they can go to special hospitals even if they do not have any symptoms related with illness. They may spend their money for getting serum just for feeling better since it cannot be afforded in public hospitals without any emergency.

The second group believes that having a lot of money does not provide success. If you want to be a successful person, you have to rely on your personal happiness. Because some situations cannot be solved by having a lot of money. For example, even if you go on a trip for being happy after spending a lot of money, you may not find any relief to escape from your thoughts. If you can handle your situation with yourself only, you might get happy since you are the one that know how to get success. In addition, there are some health conditions that do not have any cure methods, such as cancer.

To conclude, people have different ideas on how to become a successful person. Some relies on money; some depends on personal happiness. In my opinion, the pure success can be only got when you feel happy after accomplishing something. Therefore, if you know how to being happy, you can easily solve the secret of being successful.
