A belief that educators, particularly teachers, play crucial role in students’ academic journey has always been prevalent in our world. However, a majority of individuals have a different point of view, saying students’ attitude is the actual significant factor leading to their success. To be impartial, we must take a look over these two views and analyze whether which of these two would be a definitive facet that accounts for students’ improvement.
On the one hand, we must admit that teachers have always tremendously contributed to students’ quality. Students are even more attached to teachers than they are with their families because they spend most of their time in school, learning academically and morally. Moreover, teachers’ responsibilities, with experiences throughout their life, are to teach and guide the young ones, who are still immature in their ages. In other words, teachers are drilled and trained during their preparation stages to do the works that will lead the youth in the future; therefore, they have enough knowledge and quality to be suitable in that position.
On the other hand, some other poeple may believe educational success comes mostly from students’ attitude, including their diligence or compliance to the teachers. For example, some students, who are in their puberty ages, often express animosity and disdain towards everything they face in life. Because of that, in certain situations, teachers may play little to no role in educating them, which is comprehensible due to special attitude at a certain stage of development.
In my opinion, teachers’ contribution, whether formiddable or not, will always be recognized among people. Even though students may have some periods that they are obstinate, teachers are responsible for directing them to the correct routes.
