Some people think that exams are important to measure students’ progress. Others believe that students have too many tests. In my opinion, I think that tests are essential item to estimate the progress. However, I also believe that tests should not be too many for different reasons.
First, for education, exams are fundamental for the education process to know the students’ level, points of strengths and weaknesses and to know students’ requirements.
Second, it is a good chance for students to challenge each other to get high scores and this approach will certainly encourage students specially those who are lazy to study more, according to the studies which prove that tests create a soul of competition between students.
Finally, for finding a good job, making a fascinating career or getting a promotion or emigration you need to pass a specific exam to measure your level of language.
In conclusion, From the previous reasons I think that tests are necessary. Hence, they are not too many so that students will not feel bored or stressed.
