Some individuals think that the most effective way to enhance public health is by building more sports facilities. However, others argue that this would have minimal impact and that different strategies are required to improve public health. This essay will explore both views before stating my opinion.
To begin with, the increased number of sports facilities can significantly improve public health. The increasing quantity and quality it offers, such as a bigger jogging field, free access to the soccer and badminton fields, and so on, might foster society’s motivation to exercise constantly. However, since Covid-19 occurs all over the world, individuals tend to find it convenient to do workouts at home, such as sit-ups, push-ups, and afford their own dumbbells to be able to do small weight lifts at home. Thus, the development in the number of sports facilities might just have a small impact.
On the other hand, others believe that different approaches are needed to give more health impact to every layer of society, such as a better access to healthcare. That is to say, the government can play a crucial role in ensuring community health as many of them cannot afford that facility due to financially insecure. Therefore, the government can offer benefits regulations, such as lowering fees for hospital treatments or provide a free access to the medical check-up, so that individuals might be aware of their overall health. For instance, Japan, one of the countries that well-known has a high rate of healthiness, has applied an effective flow of a health card, so that its residents do not feel worried about hospital fees.
To conclude, while sports facilities can boost motivation, I believe that better access to healthcare is the most effective way to improve public health and well-being.
