The topic of road safetiness has been focused in last couple of years with the rise of vehicle accidents. One group party believe that the best way to leverage road safety is let the minimum legal age for drivers to increase. However, the other group sees that different methods would be more effective. In my opinion, I believe investing more into the car tech industry would result in a better outcome concerning the road safety. Both views will be further discussed along with my opinion.
Increasing the legal age of car drivers have been offered as a solution from some indivisuals. To illustrate, they believe youth are carefree when it comes to obeying the traffic law which results in a more dangerous driving enviroment for the others. For instance, since youn teenagers and full of energy and even more obssesed with speed, they tend to disobey the limit speed thinking it is boring and would take away the richness of adventure life. Thus, they see that increasing the minimum legal age of riding a vehicle would solve the problem.
On the other hand, a group of people think having other measurments would solve the problem. To demonstrate, according to recent studies, the age of drivers that have accident records while driving has a huge spectrum including the gender. Therefore, having other ideas like adding tech into the road would be a better idea. For example, governments in the first world countries are investing in technologies specifically sensors that can embedded into the road lanes to help organize the traffic and send signals to the smart cars to either accelerate to deccelerate to avoid accidents if the driver was not sobre. Hence, the technological embodiment of the road system would be further effecient in acheiving road safety.
In conclusion, surging the legal age of drivers is seen as a solution for one group of people, while others insert the idea of having technoly embedded in to the road enviroment is more efficient, since age is independent for human error. In my point of view, i see that investing more into the smart cars will support in decreasing the human mistakes and as a result soares the safety of the road.
