People are taking action to reduce accidents, which are mostly caused by careless driving by youngsters. Certain people believe that increasing the minimum legal age for driving can increase road safety, while some argue that implementing a strict driving test can be a way. In my opinion, the latter one has its own benefits; however, increasing the legal age will be more effective. I intend to describe my stance in the ensuing paragraphs.

To begin with, A fair amount of people argue that increasing the legal age can be a healthy measure to decrease road rage because they believe that most accidents are caused by youngsters who fall under the 18-20 age range; this age group is majorly coined as irresponsible and careless by society, and the youngsters behavior utterly inclines to this statement. For instance, three-quarters of the accidents are caused by young people, as per a report submitted by the motor vehicle department.

On the other hand, people are encouraged to recruit alternate measures to decrease accidents, such as stricter driving tests. For instance, countries that implemented stricter driving tests have diminished half of their road accidents and improved road safety. The major idea behind these measures is to elevate people’s driving skills and the ability to decrease accidents.

In my opinion, strict measures are not going to make any changes until the legal age is increased because the people are mostly careless till they get some responsibilities, and with time they will be able to focus on the safety of others as well as their own.

In conclusion, while stricter driving tests may improve road safety to some extent, increasing the minimum legal age for driving would likely have a more profound impact. Young drivers, as they grow older and take on more responsibilities, are more likely to prioritize the safety of themselves and others on the road. By increasing the legal driving age, we can reduce accidents and make our roads safer for everyone.
