It is often argued that the main aim of education is to prepare people for work, while some people believe that it has many other important functions. I partially agree with the idea that there are more various vital functions to the education.
On the one hand, there are several reasons for why the basic aim of education is to prepare individuals for only work. The most reason is that people should not struggle for provide for the family. This is mainly because if residents have no job, they can not purchase the things that their family members want. For instance, recent studies indicate that high percent of studying persons will live happily and they can buy everything that they want. Consequently, it is undeniable true that they live more happier and more comfortable rather that uneducated persons.
On the other hand, it is often argued that this phenomenon which is education has many other important duties. First and foremost, it is not only for a getting a job, but also countless role. In other word, education is also suitable to improve social skills and it teach students to be more responsible in the future. A clear example of this is if students have skill to playing musical instrument or to draw, teachers in school or university give an advice for how improve these skills and how can get financial benefits. As a consequence, people can get a wide range of benefits.
In conclusion, although preparing people for work in one the primary purpose of education. I believe that it has also many other essential functions such as developing social skills and creating responsible residents. Therefore, education should not be viewed only as a means of employment.
