It is believed that historic sites and museums should be open without charging children below 18 years old. In my opinion,making museums and historic places open for children under 18 years old free of cost is a great initiative.
Children below 18 years old are at an age of curiosity, so if a museum and historic place is opened for free, then they can visit the place whenever they feel like learning something new about history.It is a great step towards enriching a child’s future because if they get free access to museums and places which have historic value, they do not need to depend upon their parents for money, so that they can learn the things in their books in a fun way. For instance,a child who is fond of historic coins can get knowledge about it only through books, but if that child has access to a museum, then he/she can get a direct view of coins that were used in the past, which makes his/her level of knowledge rich as that can motivate a child to learn about something more.
On the other hand,children can be out of control sometimes, so letting them free in historic places and museums can be troublesome because children prefer to be independent, so keeping them under some rules can be hectic and sometimes lead to damage of property. For example,if a 10-year-old boy gets free access to a museum and historic places he may not find it interesting,but rather tries to use things kept for preserving, which leads to a huge problem.
To sum up, making a free entry for children below 18 to museum and historic places is a step towards nurturing children’s futures. However, implementing some rules and regulations is essential.
