While some individuals that hosting the Olympics games helps unite people from different parts of the world, others argue that the money wasted on the Olympics is better spent on other alarming issues.I advocate the former view as I believe Olympic tournaments not only strengthen bonds but also assist to improve tourism industry.

One the one hand, there are several arguments why some hold the view that games are wasteful.Firstly, they can be considered that Olympic games are held every four years and people from around the world can participate. Thus, host country ought to improve sport facilities like stadium, equipments and other amenities. All of them requires huge amount of money.Instead of spending money for games, they may allocate for environmental issues such as air pollution, waste disposal.Furthemore, during competition government fail to focus on social issues like poverty, homelessness. With this money, they could build anf provide homes for poor population.Obviously, this cause to increase some social problems.

One the other hand, many individuals claim that organizing tournaments is the best effective way strengthened relations between countries and people. For example,North Korea and South Korea.During games people from all over the world understand better each other’s culture and customs as well as get rid of stereotypes. As a result, they make contracts.Additionally, these events attract tourists and athletes from various nations. This benefit will increase host country’s financial status. For instance, the government earn more profit when selling tickets to tournaments. This will enhance the nation’s economic position on a larger scale than the money spent on preparations.Clearly,it assists the countries all-round development.

In conclusion,I reiterate that, the money spent on the Olympics is used for social and environmental issues, these problems will not be completely solved. Therefore, such sport competitions and international festivals should be held more often.
