Some voices believe that the aim of education is to participate in improving the lives of others, while others are convinced that education should focus on helping individuals achieve their own goals. In my opinion, the educational curriculum should prioritize educators’ efforts to better their community in all aspects.
Those who argue that education primarily affects individuals base their opinion on real stories that occur everywhere. They emphasize the moral that if any member of society wants to improve their quality of life, they should prioritize education. The famous writer Elakkad serves as the best example for supporters of this opinion.
On the other hand, the opposing opinion revolves around the question: What is the main objective of education? The answer lies in serving our societal utility. Consequently, our shared goal will lead us to achieve it, sooner or later. The Chinese Renaissance serves as evidence, as it was established on an educational system that provided a clear understanding of each member’s role in the community. Additionally, in different eras, the rise of inspiring kingdoms was a result of the culture based on the people, not just individuals.
In conclusion, no one can deny the importance of education in developing individuals and society as a whole. However, I believe that if we strive for a better life, we must prioritize the collective spirit over individual interests.
