Crime is an issue of increasing concern around the world. Which made people start to believe that there should be death penalty for extremely serious crimes, while others thinks that it is not morally correct. In this essay we are going to discuss both points of view.
First of all, there is no excuse to justify criminal behavior; in some countries, it is even considered as a sin that must be punished. However, people believe that punishment of executing an individual should be realized and carried for several reasons, such as, serious crimes like rape, killing, kidnapping and murdering innocent lives. Although, individuals may face difficult circumstances, and regardless the situations, engaging into criminal actions remain unjustified. So for those categories, they consider that death penalty may be the right decision for such cases, and it could bring back justice to the victims.
Meanwhile, others stand for the idea of death penalty that is not morally correct. Believing that criminals have the right to live, and taking a life even if the state agreed, it is relatively tied to morals, principles of human dignity. Furthermore, state shouldn’t mirror punishment or violence in general. There is a common believe that if killing is wrong for example, wrong doing cannot be corrected by another act of killing.
To sum up, I strongly opine that there is no act, no matter the situations and how serious life maybe; a crime could never be morally or legally accepted by taking of an innocent life.
