It has been discussed that wild animals and birds are cared for more than necessary. By contrast, I would argue that allocating sources to this trend is extremely essential.
Protecting wild animals is an important for several reasons. Most importantly, if the animals are not protected by creating specialized habitats, the number of endangered animals would be increased consequently. Thus, when those animals become extinct, the ecosystem will undoubtedly be unbalanced which is quite dangerous for environment. For example, several years ago, the number of living snakes declined in an unprotected jungle in Vietnam due to arson committed unintentionally by individuals. As a result, the villagers who lived near by the jungle, reported a huge attack by rats into their farms. Therefore, people and government must dedicate required sources in order to protect the wild animals.
It is needless to say that birds also need protection and they must be paid attention for some reasons. Firstly, birds can bring a sense of beauty to humans which is the main reason for governments to keep them in zoos, and the particular reason of that is their brilliant voice and appearance. Secondly, birds are a symbol of freedom all over the world and as a sense of human-being, they must be cared so as to be safe from the danger of extinction. Finally, similar to wild animals, if there were no birds, the ecosystem would become subsequently unstable. For instance, eagles could contribute to balancing the number of snakes in a specific region, so it is essential to provide resources and protect birds.
In conclusion, while some people think that the attention and resources given to wild animals and birds are more than enough, I believe these efforts are significantly vital.
