While it is undeniable that urbanazation has the utmost advantages, it has some negative impacts on society and environment too. It seems to me that the process of urbanization must be done by keeping in mind that societal structure is less hampered and environmental pollution is kept as low as possible.
On one hand, the flourishment of urban area makes our life more secure and easier. With the urbanization process, structures of the house changes to high rise buliding with the provision of many modern home appliances. Furthermore, people feel comfortable when they can gather any news all around the world just by sitting home. Additionally, one can easily travel from one place to another by using vehicles which is the direct output of living in an urban area. To keep up with the pace of modern world and globalization, technology is a must used tool for all and without urbanization, advancement in the sector of technology just can not be imagined.
On other hand, our primitve societal structure and environment are largely hampered as the urbanization occurs. Human is indeed a social being and it is social ties that impacts most in one’s life. People tend to become busier and nowadays one even does not know who is living behind next door as one has the enough to tools to be engaged in as a result of urbanization. With the advancement of industries water, air, soil-all basic ingredients of nature are becoming heavily polluted. Pollution is a must outcome of urbanazation.
To be summarised, urbanzation provides a better and secure life but it has immense effect on society and environment. So, keeping the social life as balanced as possible and environmental pollution as low as possible, we have to taste the better side of urbanization.
