A lot of people think that travellers should respect and follow original culture when going aboard. While the others argue that the original country should accept multicultural. This essay will discuss both views and my opinion on this phenomenon.
Visitors should respect local people, who live with their culture and tradition. Host countries have different rules and customs, so they should follow them to decrease conflict between nations. Tourists should learn and find information about the destination of the procedure before travel, which one should do and should not do. For example, when tourists come to Buddhist temples they should wear long pants because it has rules- cannot wear shorts. This means you do not respect their religion. From my perspective, visitors should learn and follow the rules to prevent conflict.
Host countries must welcome visitors if primary income from tourism attracts tourists to spend money in the country. Local people must adapt their behaviour and believe in welcoming foreigners. To illustrate, Thai people should practice speaking English for communication with foreigners and should know basic greetings such as hug, check-hand. Moreover, the local council should prepare convenient infrastructure to facilitate visitors. From my point of view, the original country should welcome and adapt behaviour to visitors, but they have to maintain origin customs to prevent loss of identity.
In conclusion, tourists should be aware and understand the destination of culture and tradition. Then respect and act in the same way with local people. In addition, the host country must alter behaviour and prepare infrastructure to attract more foreigners. In my opinion, both visitors and the host country should adapt behaviour to meet at the center so they can live together.
