It is argued by some that watching TV has certain drawbacks for children, whereas others believe that it has more beneficial effects. In my opinion, although watching TV can be helpful for little children, its drawbacks are more significant because it leads to addiction.
On the one hand, many children nowadays tend to watch TV, broadening their minds significantly. This is because when children watch TV, they may learn new vocabulary to use in their daily lives, which can be helpful. For example, a children who does not know many words can learn from TV channels, and it may contribute to better speaking. Therefore, watching TV may lead to improved speaking skills and a broader vocabulary.
On the other hand, I agree with those who argue that watching TV has certain disadvantages because it may result in addiction to TV. When children watch TV every day, they may not understand that excessive watching can affect their health. To illustrate, a child who does not watch TV every day is more likely to be healthier than one who does this regularly, causing poor eyesight. Furthermore, children can move from TV to devices such as phones and computers, which might affect substantially due to their comfortable use of them. Consequently, children should not be allowed to watch TV regularly to avoid problems with health and addiction.
In conclusion, while watching TV may contribute to better speaking and vocabulary, I strongly believe that the drawbacks of this trend are more significant, as it leads to poor health and obsession with it.
