In the current day, some individuals argue that children should not start their formal education at an early age, however, allocating most of their time playing instead. From my perspective, I would go against such a view and will analyze it in detail in the following essay.
The first argument against this is that children should spend more time playing instead. This is because it might offer many benefits. For instance, taking part in board games help developing social skills such as following rules, or taking turns. Additionally, in a study, children were able to produce longer and better structured stories after playing with dolls. As a result, kids not only learn about social skills, but also learn about academic knowledge from their plays.
Despite all the aforementioned advantages, another idea worth mentioning is that they should begin their formal education at early age. In other words, just playing makes them feel boring immediately and may become unfocused when studying. For example, a child who is basking in an excited atmosphere might be unpleasant when studying. Moreover, combining playing and learning might be a better choice for them. This is because they will find studying more interesting when investigate knowledges from games. Take some kindergartens as an example, the teacher always creates simple games for children to play and develop skills. Therefore, kids should start studying gradually from early age.
In conclusion, while some people think children should play more, I firmly believe that they should begin studying from early age.
