Some individuals claim that the traditional standards of our society should be respected and followed by youth people.In contrast, others think that granting the youth the freedom to express themselves would be more beneficial approved .althought both schools of thought hold merit,i agree more with the former perpective.
On the one hand, there are some reasons that explain why social standards should be respected by young individuals.young people are generally inexperienced in many aspect of their lives as their are often handled by their parents.As social standards are the accumulation of past generation’s knowledge, hey can offer insights for young people to succeed in their live.For example, understanding the importance of higher education is a tradition in many nations and if young people can stick up to that belief, they can achieve academic competency and become more competitive in their future careers
On the other hand, others believe that young people should be entitled to the freedom to express themselves .In this day and ages ,as our society becomes more technologically advanced, the role of innovation has become more emphasised as it allows a nation to breakthrough and become more developed.Allowing young people to express themselves freely, fortunately,could help them become more creative and innovative, which eventually translate into more technological innovation for their countries.
In conclusion, although there are mixed opinions on determining whether or not young people should have the freedom to express themselves ,I believe that having a degree of respect for conventional standards and norms is still of paramount importance.The reason is that social traditions can help guide young people towards having a larger chance of becoming successful,while being themselves could enrich creativity and eventually benefit their countries
