There is an ongoing debate regarding punishment.There are divided opinion.A group of individuals have argued that fixed punishment given to the criminal for any kinds of offence they committed; however,others are counter claimed that which situation also depend,for which punishments are given.Prior to my stance,both the view points would be discussed further in the ensuing write-up.

Discussing the former view,the supporters belive that there must be fixed punishment provide for each type of crime To be clarify this,any serious type of crime committed by the the criminal there should be given same punishment.For instance,in the case of murder, robbery,and fraud there should be fixed punishment given to the criminal Moreover,in some time it should be given same punishment dangerous; this means,only one punishment is fixed for any kind of crime,so any criminal or people do not think about to create any type of crime and they motivate to do another misdeed.

However,proponents have there own opinion related to the any punishment given to the convict it based on the situation of an individual crime and also focused on the motive of crime.To explain this,in the case of murder,motive and circumstances also matter for giving punishment;for example,a person who commited murder for their self defence it possible to given punishment based on their crime or it should be given imprisonment.besides this;in the case of rape there should be direct punishment given to the criminal.

To sum up and offer my position,I would support the second view, because if the punishment based on motive and circumstances it is best punishments for not only victim but also create best example for society; however,in some time it also not neglect that fixed punishment it influence of the society to create any kind of crime
