Band 5+: Some people believe there should be fixed punishment for each type of crime. Others, however, argue that the circumstances of an individual crime, and the motivation for committing should always be considered when deciding on the punishment. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Certain individuals think that all type of erime should carry a set punishment, whereas others argue that the cricumstances and motivations behind a crime must be considered before deciding on the punichment . I think it is a very controversial issue. Individuals can be found on both sides of the argurnent with strong logics. So, in order to draw an appropriate corisulusion, both these views ited to be properly examined.

There are many good reasons why some people believe that fixed purishments for each can crime can a sense of fairness and efficiency in the justice system. To being with,If everyone who commits a certain crime and receives the same punishment it a avoids bias discrimination among or inconsistency among judges. For example, in Saudi Arabia if anone anyone commits theft their hand is cut off and this fear signisicantly reduces many types of erimes. Apart from this, fixed purishment reduce the time and resources required for lenthy trials. For instance, it goes without saying that, if someone commits rape and the punishment is the death penalthy then the crime rate with decrase and such incidents will not occur in the future

On the contrary, a number of points can be found why others opine that each crime is unique and should be judged in individually. First and foremost people commit erimes for different reasons sometimes out of the deperation, metal ilness. To clarify, If someone steals to feed their hungry family their crime should be viewed different wheras it someone steals for personal luxury the punishment should be different for them.

To surm up, I think analysis is palatable to all. So, I would like to state my opinion that while fixed punishments might bring consistency they risk being overly simplistic and unjust in compley human situation. I think what I have Stated in this earsay emphasizes my new no more discussion.
