There has been a considerable debate surrounding whether knowledge which students are provided at school are highly practical or not. While some individuals believe that these things are time-consuming, I still concur that evething taught at school is functional. This essay aims to scrutinize both views and give my standpoint.
On the one hand, there are numerous possible rationales why many people truly think that some things instructed to learners at school take a lot of time. The first reason for this phenomenon is some theories taught at school are not appropriate for applying into real world context as it may not be state-of-the-art. For example, in science lessons, teachers provide students the history of machines during the timeframe instead of also givinng information about modern robots. Second, as the flow of educational syllabus, students are forced to learn a wide range of subjects rather than paying effort to their strengths which can be considered as a key role for their growth and success in the furture. In Vietnam, students have to learn at least thirteen subjects in every semester, which may limits their time and effort for interested subjects.
On the other hand, individuals believe that everything which is introduced at school is necessary and helpful at all time. Initially, school provide a solid foundation for students at every single part of life, which can be practical for daily activities as well as career path. For example, at biology class, learners are taught about basic needs of human body which raise their awareness to keep fit. Besides that, when students perform well at school, they also have opportunities to get a job without going to higher education. According to report from the National University of Singapore, nearly 80% of postgraduated high school students has already took a fulltime job which can fulfill their daily basics.
In conclusion, I still reiterate that things given at school are vital and students need carefully adopt them. Schools should provide some practical programs to help students have chance to apply theories from books into real-world context.
