In the realm of education, it is widely believed that students should be inspired to study overseas owing to several benefits, while some argue that they should not pursue that due to its unavoidable issues. Although it is true that financial and psychological factors are straightforward and detrimental, its advantages on academic and job opportunities are more significant and long-lasting.
There are several benefits of studying abroad. One notable merit of this is the educational system of foreign countries. Some nations such as America and Australia which offer well-rounded educational environment with advanced technologies and teaching methods contribute to personal growth and broadening horizon of individuals in some aspects like culture and language. As a result, students not only absorb knowledge but also become more self-reliance and gain deeper insights and understanding about new cultures and customs of developed nations. Additionally, graduated at foreign schools also provide with many career prospects. Labour shortage is a global issue nowadays in some industries like healthcare and automation. Therefore, the demand for labour in such aspects is highly regarded with its ready-to-do jobs and perks ,which attracts most teenagers and employees globally, leads to the desire of studying overseas to ensure some career ladders and life standards.
Admittedly, it is undeniable that studying abroad provokes various problems. One significant factor is financial burden. Paying such expensive tuition and service cost can make families and individuals themselves be in debt which may provoke mass part-time jobs to reduce the expense and affect their study progression. Moreover, individuals may face with homesickness due to culture shock and language barrier, making them more reticent and isolated. This can lead to serious mental diseases and cause unavoidable accidents. Despite the aforementioned reasons, I strongly believe that the benefits to individuals in future career and academic achievement can outweigh these in long terms.
In conclusion, although studying overseas can cause serious financial and health issues, the advantages of this are far more prominent in the long run.
