Nursery schools have had significant impact on bridging the gap between children staying at home and going to school. However, this methode has recived some criticisem from people that think it is taking kids away from parent too early in their development, and I firmly agree with this statement.
When children join nursery school, they get a chance to work on basic skills before starting their formal studies, for instance they practice shape and color recognition, build relasionship with their peers, and participate in physical activities. This will give them a significant edge over other student when they start primery school, because it helps kids to slowly integrate into the education system, instead of sudden change in their environment. It also teaches them skills that are transferable to the next level of their learning process while allowing Parents to get some freetime after caring for the them for years.
On the other hand, spending most of their day away from parents that early in their growth can create problems for children, for example they might have attachment issues and hard time making friends. this is because they are getting suparated from their family before they even get the chance to bond with them. The other issue is that parent will have less impact and presence in many significant milestones of their kids life, and this will result in regrate and gap between them.
Therefore, even though it is important for their education, I believe the disadvantage of sending children to nursery school outweighs its advantage, and parent should spend as much time with their kids as they can.
