The invention of airplanes has made our lives easier when it comes to transportation and staying connected with our loved ones. It is well known that airplanes leave a significant carbon footprint, which has prompted many environmentally conscious individuals to limit their travel. While their intentions are commendable, I personally believe that their actions may not result in any significant impact. In this essay, I will discuss how the advantages of air travel outweigh its disadvantages.

The number of air travelers has markedly increased over the years, as air transportation has become more accessible and flexible for individuals. However, numerous negative surveys have emerged recently, raising concerns about its impact on the environment, individuals, and businesses. For instance, as technology continues to develop, carbon dioxide emissions have simultaneously risen, contributing to global warming and its effects on the environment. This change not only impacts nature but also affects individual lives.

Post-pandemic, most business operations have shifted from in-person meetings to online formats. For example, meetings with investors or manufacturers can now take place remotely, which offers increased convenience. However, certain operations still require on-site work, which often necessitates supervision.

Even if businesses manage to sustain remote operations, their products must still be exported to other countries for trade. Air transport is the most convenient, fastest, and least expensive mode for shipping orders. From an individual perspective, the items we order online travel considerable distances before arriving at our doorsteps. Therefore, even if we choose to forgo our travel plans, we still indirectly contribute to the carbon footprint.

In conclusion, addressing a single issue like this will not resolve all associated problems. As a result, the drawbacks of reduced enjoyment, restricted travel, and hindered commerce outweigh any benefits derived from limiting air travel.
