Discipline Vs Freedom in Academic Achievements
Both sides have always argued on whether discipline or freedom is more important to achieve success academically. On one hand, it is believed that a high performing academic learner needs homeschool restrictions which provides structure and drives focus toward consistent achievement of tasks. While on the other hand, providing students the ability to choose their own path is equally important for their personal growth which also helps in free thinking creatively which again is important for success in life. Each side offers valid arguments and take equal consideration.
Disciplinarians argue that students streamline their efforts concentrate more effectively if they are trained because such discipline offers uniformity that is needed for success. A disciplined student is always punctual, meets deadlines and follows a daily routine which improves the grades as well as the performance eventually. Discipline enhances performance by assisting effective time management and minimizes distractions like social media and entertainment. In institutions like schools, discipline alone helps students focus avoid falling behind in classes during learning in the classroom.
Just like in other discussions, the opposing debate compels freedom enthusiasts to defend themselves against the risks of over-discipline. It is indicated that too much order is suffocating and restricts expression and individuality. Allowing students the freedom to follow their interests encourages true passion and curiosity.
