Nowadays, many people consider that libraries are essential for society to find information and harness a book. Others, however, believe that computers have become popular and that is why libraries are a waste of money.
Admittedly, those who advocate importance of computers and libraries are waste of money can justify their point. First and foremost, using computers for education and seeing information is quite convenient and not time-consuming. In other words, many individuals can find any information via computer quickly and they can find books by just writing the name of the book on online resources. For instance, one might become interested in books and may do not know what kind of book to read but they can read books without spending particular amount of money for them as with computer and internet they can find wide range of books. As a result, computers are convenient enough for people who cannot find free time for going to library.
Notwithstanding the argument above, those who emphasize the importance of libraries can justify their viewpoint. A key reason for this is that libraries are convenient mostly for old people and average income families. This is because many old individuals cannot use internet and computers while younger ones can handle with them easily. As regards families with average or low-income families, they can go to libraries and read books if they don’t have enough funds for computers. For example, reading via computer can harm old people’s eyes and that is why they go for reading at libraries. Consequently, libraries not only keep us healthy but they also suitable for everyone.
From my perspective, however, I think that computers are more important. The main reason is that harnessing computers are fast and reliable, especially for educational purposes. In other words, as I am taking up courses, I find computers very beneficial because I can find any information or books that I need just by few clicks. For example, for my writing classes i use my PC, as it is quite comfortable to write in this and i can find and get ideas from online platforms simultaneously. Thus, these kinds of devices are quite essential for productive work and studies.
In conclusion, while some may argue that libraries should take precedence over computers, I firmly believe that importance of computers hold greater significance.
