Do you think advertising products is a good way to get people to purchase them? Well people are often divided on whether advertisements are deemed successful in convincing buyers to buy the product or not. In this essay, I will be discussing both views.
On one hand, commercials can be the right tool out of other means of marketing if used correctly. This means that the person responsible for the ad should study the market for that particular commodity closely which would lead to identifying the correct target audience and producing commercials that bring in revenue. For instance, a new blusher in the market meant for teenage girls should be advertised for on social media platforms used the most by them, such as, tiktok. This way the ads are deemed successful in convincing people to buy the product.
On the other hand, commercials can be useless if they are not studied and planned for well. For example, a billboard that costs a fortune but gives nothing away about the brand and brings back zero revenue. If that commercial was executed well it would have been a successful way to bring in business. Additionally, the abundance of the same ad can make people resent the company as a whole. If a company airs the same commercial over and over again with no renewal of ideas or anything it makes the customer lose interest.
In conclusion, the effectiveness of advertisements is dependent on how well it is planned for and its right execution. In my opinion, commercials are a successful way to persuade customers to purchase products as long as they are creative and well done.
