A number of individuals stated that the possibilities of knowing about a person’s culture and character from their choice of clothes can be used to determined it. However, from my point of view I would say that I disagree with the statement because a person might want to wear specific type of clothes because the function of it and also, nowadays clothes are just a form of fashion and it will be biased to judge a person’s culture and character based on it.
To begin with, individuals might want to wear specific type of clothes because the function of it and it is essential for them. For instance, when individuals live in a cold place they will prefer to wear thick clothes because they need to keep their body warm. Other than that, when individuals spend time on the beach they might want to wear a bikini or just a simple board short because they want to expose themselves to the sun and also swim on the beach.
Moreover, the choice of clothes nowadays is just a matter of fashion and it is biased to tell a person’s culture and character based from it. For example, a person might wear traditional Balinese clothes during a special celebration day in Bali, but it does not mean that he or she is a Balinese person nor born and raised in Bali, therefore, we cannot judge a person’s culture and character based on their choice of clothes.
All in all, I absolutely disagree by the statement that was created by a number of individuals about the possibility to tell a person’s character and culture based from their choice of clothes because, they might wear specific types of clothes because the use or function of it and choice of clothes is just a matter of fashion, thus, it is biased to judge a person based from their choice of clothes.
